The new Performing Arts Centre at Trinity Christian School is a small and contained extension building on very tight site. The centre has been developed with a music focus that includes a small black box flat floor theatre space of 130 capacity with adjustable seating, music classrooms, band room, practice rooms, multipurpose music and drama classrooms, specialist drama space, recording studio, staff area, and café breakout space. The centre is an extension to an existing GP Hall and provides additional PE storage facilities and resolves access issues to upper levels. The theatre space has flexible adjustable seating over a flat floor stage allowing for multiple configurations including an in the round arrangement. This flexibility is inherent throughout the building allowing for change in focus or activity types over time.
The new centre forms a book end to a series of existing buildings visible over a series of ovals and landscaped spaces. It also completes an internal courtyard space forming an amphitheatre and external classroom space.
