Purpose built facility (Jaeger 5) to house technologically advanced machines to measure the age of rocks, Sensitive High Resolution Ion Microprobe (SHRIMP) for the Research School of Earth Sciences.  

Built in two stages, the building has three areas for these machines as well as laboratories (PC2 clean room – non-metal), office areas and student areas.  The building has isolated floor slabs to remove all nearby movement that may affect the accuracy of produced results.
